Meet Our Pastor & First Lady

Pastor Matt Stenseth has faithfully served the Muscatine community and surrounding areas for over six years as a local youth pastor, Section 6 Youth Representative, and currently as the Iowa Youth Secretary for IYC. His heart for people is genuine, pure, and unmistakable the moment you meet him. Pastor Matt often describes himself as a “happy-go-lucky guy,” and it shows in his joyful spirit and love for the church. He knows how to flow in the Spirit, bring the Word with power, and lead our services under the anointing of the Holy Ghost.

First Lady Josie serves faithfully alongside her husband in every season of ministry. She is currently learning both piano and American Sign Language as she continues to grow her gifts to serve the church. Her kindness, grace, and steady support make her a treasured part of our leadership family.

Together, Pastor Matt and Sister Josie are raising three wonderful boys—a lively and loving trio that brings joy and energy wherever they go. We are incredibly blessed to have this powerhouse family leading and loving Christian Life Church. Their passion for God and people is helping shape the future of Muscatine, Iowa, and we invite you to get to know them!

Meet Our Treasurer

Laurie serves faithfully as the Treasurer of Christian Life Church, bringing excellence, integrity, and a deep love for God’s work to everything she does. Beyond managing the church’s finances with care, Laurie also ministers through Spanish interpretation, helping bridge language barriers so everyone can experience the Word of God together.

She is also the heart behind our Bus Ministry, coordinating routes, organizing rides, and making sure individuals and families have a way to get to church. Her dedication ensures that many who might otherwise be unable to attend can be part of our church family each week.

Laurie’s servant’s heart, reliability, and compassion make her an invaluable part of Christian Life Church. We are grateful for her leadership and the many ways she helps our church thrive.

Meet Our Children’s Ministry Director

Deana Dawson serves officially as the CLC "RUNNER", as she serves in many areas and does everything with skill and excellence, not using a wheelchair as an excuse!

Deana, as the Children’s Ministry Director at Christian Life Church, leads with passion, creativity, and a genuine love for every child who walks through our doors. Deana has a heart to help children know Jesus personally, grow in His Word, and experience church as a joyful, safe, and exciting place to be. She works diligently to create engaging lessons, fun activities, and Spirit-filled environments where kids can learn, worship, and build strong friendships. Whether she’s teaching, organizing events, or supporting families.

Deana’s dedication shines through in everything she does. Her compassion, leadership, and commitment to raising up the next generation making her an incredible blessing to our church. We are grateful for Deana and the heart she pours into our children’s ministry each week!
